The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine remains in desirable WWII configuration, retaining its push-button safety and Type I flip rear sight marked “B-IP." The high wood stock is in very good condition, showing light handling impressions, with “POWELL" carved into the wrist. The rifle is fitted with a bayonet lug barrel band and is accompanied by a magazine pouch, oiler, and sling. Inland was the largest producer of M1 Carbines during WWII, and early configuration examples such as this are increasingly sought after.
