High-grade Central European percussion double shotgun with exceptional engraving and high-relief stock carving. We believe this gun to be either from Germanic/ Austrian or origins or possibly Czech. Damascus barrels show a strong, well-defined pattern with a gold inlaid accent at the muzzle. The breech and action are covered in deeply cut scroll engraving with sharp lines, clean background removal, and consistent execution throughout. The walnut stock features bold, high-relief carving of a stag, executed with clear depth and crisp edges. The carving remains sharp and unworn, with strong definition across the entire motif. Condition is outstanding. Engraving and carving retain full detail and clarity, indicating minimal handling. A high-level example of a beautifully embellished Germanic fowler distinguished by the quality of its metalwork and sculptural wood carving Price: $15,500.00 |
