"Serial no. 9130032274. Manufactured in 1943 at Izhevsk Arsenal ,chambered in 7.62x54R,29"" round barrel. The bore is bright with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. The left side of the receiver is import marked. Factory serial numbers are matching, with the floorplate force-matched during arsenal refurbishment, a common Soviet practice. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing minor handling and storage wear consistent with post-war refurbishment and reserve storage. Wartime Izhevsk production rifles such as this formed the backbone of Soviet infantry forces throughout WWII. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
