The bore is good with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. Factory-stamped serial numbers remain matching throughout. The rifle remains in overall very good condition and has undergone post-war Soviet arsenal refurbishment, a common practice for rifles retained in reserve storage following WWII. The left side of the receiver is import marked. Pre-war Tula rifles are often noted for their higher machining quality and finish compared to later wartime production examples. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
