Richardson of Manchester England (active late 18th century) produced documented coaching blunderbusses with brass barrels, Tower private proofs, and typical acorn-pattern trigger guards, this weapon features engraving , long tang and an Ivory tipped ramrod for loading. Examples are dated ~1770-1790. Blunderbusses with brass barrels and these Tower of London proof marks are commonly dated to the Georgian era (George III period), often 1770s–1810s, when they were popular for coach defense, naval use, or home protection, truly a Manstopper if there ever was one in the era. This gun remains in excellent condition and it appears gun would fire if loaded with Black powder and shot. The visible stamps on the brass barrel (two similar marks with crossed sceptres/pikes or crossed items under a crown, with what appear to be letters like “GP,” “V,” or related elements such as “BPC” or maker/view indicators) match the Tower of London “private proof” marks (crossed sceptres & crown, often struck twice). These were used for civilian/commercial firearms. Keep your powder dry folks. Add 3% if paying with credit card. Free shipping for all U.S. Veterans. Price: $6,999.00 Antique: Yes Manufacturer: J.
