Offered here is a beautifully preserved Browning Superposed Grade I 20 Gauge over/under shotgun in exceptional near new condition. Built during the golden era of Belgian Browning production, this shotgun represents one of the finest examples of practical upland elegance and craftsmanship ever produced.
This Superposed features 26” barrels chambered for both 2 3/4” and 3” shells, making it an extremely versatile smallbore hunting gun while retaining the lively handling characteristics collectors and shooters seek in a lightweight Browning field gun. The barrels are fitted with a ventilated rib and a single brass front bead, and remain fixed choked Improved Cylinder and Modified.
The gun is configured with a highly desirable round knob long tang stock configuration and exhibits outstanding dimensions for upland and sporting use. The figured walnut stock displays excellent color and grain with sharp original checkering and excellent finish throughout. Overall condition of both the wood and metal strongly suggests very limited use.
Mechanically, the shotgun features a single selective trigger and remains tight and crisp overall. The gun weighs an ideal 6 lbs. 6 ozs., giving it exceptional balance and handling qualities in the field.
