Description:
24 inch round barrel and full length magazine tube. Sighted with a German silver front sight and semi-buckhorn sporting rear sight. Manufactured in 1894, this rifle was returned to the factory after 1905 as both the frame and barrel have the PW marking. Barrel and mag tube retain a good amount of the blue with some scrapes and scratches. The frame shows some blue but is mostly a brown patina . Bore is bright and shiny. Action is crisp. Walnut stocks are in good condition with some handling dings and mars. Not sanded or undersized. Rifle style buttplate. This is a nice little 1892 in desirable caliber .44-40.
