Holland & Holland London's Best .300 H&H Magnum. Build around a Mauser 98 (standard length) action, serial 4629 has a 25-inch barrel (.600-inch muzzle diameter, partially-banded front sight assembly with folding hood/brass-beaded blade/stippled face, banded sling swivel stud, sleeved rear sight assembly with fixed and folding leafs marked 50/100 & 150 yards for 180-grain bullets). ACTION: Features include a custom bolt handle, custom shroud with three-position safety, Holland & Holland quick detaching mounts (serialed 30mm rings) and custom bottom metal with an inside-the-bow release button. Metal finish is polished blue. STOCK: Profiled as a sleek sporter, the walnut showcases strong primary character with crossing accents. Detailings include broad wrap checkering with a partial double border, single crossbolt, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, trap door grip cap (color case), leather-wrapped recoil pad, initial plate and an oil finish. A toe line sling swivel stud has not been installed. OPTIC: A Swarovski Z8i 2-16x50P (illuminated dot) is mounted and remains in new condition. Electronics operate properly. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 10.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.6 inches. CAPACITY: Four rounds in the magazine. The extractor does not “snap over” rounds dropped into the magazine. Feeding off the follower is positive. With included Extreme Custom Ammunition (36 rounds with Barnes 180-grain TSX, overall length 3.575 inches), live rounds are too long to eject through the port and must unload through the trap. CONDITION: The bore is pristine. Metal and wood finishes are new. No case or papers. The price is firm and layaway is available.
