Originally discontinued in 1999 due to high manufacturing costs, Colt recently brought the Python back into production, offering modern shooters highly sought-after polished blued and matte blued carbon steel finishes alongside their stainless steel models. The internal lockwork is streamlined with fewer parts. This eliminates the timing issues and fragility common to vintage Pythons, resulting in a reliable, non-stacking double-action trigger pull.
