Description:
"Serial no. 00616829. Manufactured circa 1920–1930,chambered in 6.5x50mm Arisaka,31"" round barrel. The bore is dark with strong, visible rifling remaining. Serial numbers are non-matching. The rifle was later repurposed for school and training use after being deemed unserviceable for frontline military service, a common practice in pre-war and wartime Japan where obsolete or worn rifles were utilized for cadet and youth instruction. The stock shows expected handling wear with faint kanji markings visible on the right side. The rifle is accompanied by a Type 30 Hooked Quillon Bayonet manufactured by an unknown maker under Kokura Arsenal supervision. Early hooked quillon bayonets are among the more desirable Type 30 variations due to their distinctive early-war design and comparatively limited production. The action is smooth and functions correctly.
