J.P Sauer Prussian grade 18 Best Quality Meisterwerk Inland (not export) model 16 gauge boxlock shotgun with 29 5/8" chopper lump Krupp Three Ring Special steel barrels, square crossbolt, ejectors, double triggers, S/N 165430, mfg. 1912-1914, intercepting sears, gold plated lockwork, Inland model( no import marks and better and more profuse engraving), doll's head rib extension, perfect bores with 16/1 proofs, 2 3/4" chambers, wgt. 6 lbs.1 oz., masterfully engraved and carved with superfine banknote scroll. Case colored receiver has gone nickelly, excellent barrel blue, choked light modified in right barrel(.012"), and light full in left barrel(.030"), hinge and lockup tight, metal clean. A magnificent and very rare high grade Sauer mfg. in a smallbore made at the peak of quality before World War One. $13,750.00  or best offer.
