Description:
This is an elegant decorator piece for your office or den. This Little Shotgun looks better in hand than the pictures indicate, the uniform mellow tone is very difficult to capture. The bottom of the fore end shows a fascinating wear point; the ramrod has worn a hole through the wood. The English Walnut Burlwood stock mounting silver fittings suggest a wealthy 18 century owner. Its short 42” overall length with a 26” barrel contribute to its light 5 pound weight. The barrel is marked “London” with appropriate proof marks, and the lock is marked “Moore”, likely the gunsmith who made it. The “Half Cock” and “Full Cock” sear notches can be felt but are worn enough so they won’t hold, an easy fix for any gunsmith. The guns short length, “Hooked” trigger guard and latched ramrod suggest it was made for mounted use. The Hooked trigger guard allows it to be grasped and pulled from a scabbard while the ramrod retainer latch keeps it in place. Perhaps Mr. Moore made this gun upon request of Lord Muckity Muck for mounted Fox Hunting on his estate?

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
