Ryan Breeding custom Mauser 98 .458 Winchester Magnum. Serial RB0114 has a 20-inch tapering heavy sporter barrel (.760-inch muzzle diameter, banded front sight assembly with folding hood, brass-beaded blade and stippled ramp). Features include an island rear sight assembly (windage-adjustable express blade with gold sighting line, stippled ramp), barrel-mounted optic base, custom bolt handle, custom shroud with three-position safety, checkered bolt release pad and custom drop box bottom metal. STOCK: Based on a well-figured Turkish blank shaped to a stout profile, refinements include a satin finish, ebony forend tip, 22 lines-per-inch wrap checkering, double crossbolts, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, trapdoor grip cap (with extra front sight blade), screwless sling swivel stud and a Universal recoil pad. OPTIC: A Leica red dot sight is included. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 9.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.15 inches. CONDITION: The bore is pristine. Metal and wood finishes are each approximately 99 percent with trace evidence of handling and one small impression (front ring, right). The original invoice is included. No case.
