This post war Colt Detective Special is a beautiful 98% Dual-Tone blue with Coltwood Grips. Caliber is .32 New Police or .32 S&S Long as they are interchangable. The very collectable gun is near new condition both inside and out. It was shipped, per the attached Colt Archive Letter, to L.H.Kurtz Company in Des Moines, Iowa, May 8, 1951. The Kurtz Company is family owned sporting goods store since 1866, it's said to have sold a Colt to Gangster John Dillinger.
