Bolliger / Mountain Riflery Best Grade .280 Remington. Built on a Winchester Model 70 CRF action, serial G376012 has a 22-inch barrel (.580-inch muzzle diameter, recessed crown). Features include a polished blue finish, jeweled bolt body/extractor/follower, custom bolt handle with checkered knob (five bordered panels), three-position safety, reshaped and checkered bolt release button and Blackburn bottom metal. STOCK: Shaped as a proper mountain rifle from a stunning English blank, formalities include an ebony forend tip with widow's peak, fine wrap checkering highlighted by ribbons and fleurs, palm swell, raised bolt release shoulder, soft Monte Carlo comb, steel grip cap, steel butt plate with widow's peak, screwless sling swivel studs with oval bases and timed screws. ENGRAVING: Michael Dubber engraved a bugling bull elk on the floor plate, a roaring grizzly on the cap and an outstanding nontypical mule deer on the butt. Each study is detailed in gold, supported by intricate scroll and bordered by gold wire. The supporting design flows over action/mounts and reappears above the chamber and on the studs. Dubber's signature is engraved forward of the chamber. OPTIC: A Swarovski Habicht 4-16x50 (30mm tube, .15 MOA clicks) is attached. Optically pristine, lens coatings show minor wiping and the tube finish is approximately 98 percent. CAPACITY: Five rounds (four plus one). The extractor “snaps over” rounds dropped into the chamber. Feeding/extraction/ejection are positive and dependable. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 9.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.8 inches. CONDITION: Metal and wood finishes are each approximately 95 percent with modest evidence of being afield. No case or papers. AMMUNITION: One hundred rounds of Bolliger custom ammunition (145-grain Barnes Long Range Triple Shock) is included. The price is firm and layaway is available.
