1978 Colt Custom Shop Factory Engraved SAA .45 Colt 7.5”
Outstanding Colt Custom Shop Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1978 and chambered in desirable .45 Colt with classic 7.5" barrel configuration.
This revolver features beautiful factory royal blue finish with vivid color case hardening and factory “B” coverage engraving. The revolver is marked “COLT ENG” on the grip frame, confirming factory Colt engraving as shown in the photographs.
The revolver remains in exceptional collector condition retaining nearly all of its original high polish blue and brilliant case colors. Only a faint cylinder turn line is present with otherwise outstanding overall appearance. Mechanics are crisp with proper timing and lockup. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
Factory checkered grips remain excellent and complement the revolver’s outstanding presentation quality.
An increasingly desirable early Colt Custom Shop engraved Single Action Army that represents the resurgence of Colt Custom Shop production during the late 1970s. An exceptional collector-grade example suitable for advanced Colt collections.
