Bolliger / Mountain Riflery Crown Grade .450 Ackley Magnum. Based on a Winchester Model 70 CRF action, serial G120783 has a 23-inch barrel (.805-inch muzzle diameter, banded and hooded front sight assembly with brass-beaded blade/flip-up moon bead/stippled ramp, banded sling swivel stud, quarter rib with one fixed and one folding leaf marked 50/250 with gold sighting arrows). Features include a rust blue finish, jeweled bolt body and follower, custom bolt handle, checkered bolt knob (five bordered panels), reshaped and checkered bolt release button and custom bottom metal (drop box). STOCK: Shaped from a AAA-grade English blank with tight figure to the proper dimensions of a dangerous game rifle, appointments include an ebony forend tip with widow's peak, fine wrap checkering accented with ribbons/fleurs/heart, palm swell, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, skeleton grip cap, pedestalled toe line stud, leather-wrapped recoil pad and a satin finish. ENGRAVING: Signed by Lisa Tomlin, the plate showcases and extraordinary bull elephant in an oval border. Additional accents include a muzzle band and crown (tang), each in gold. OPTIC: A Swarovski Z6i (illuminated dot and circle) rests in Talley quick release rings (30mm) fitted to custom scalloped bases. Electronics operate properly with a test battery. Glass is unmolested. Tube finish is approximately 97 percent. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 11.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.9 inches. CAPACITY: Five rounds (four plus one). The extractor “snaps over” rounds dropped into the chamber. Feeding/extraction/ejection are smooth and dependable. CONDITION: Metal finish is at least 98 percent with but faint indications of handling. Wood is approximately 97 percent trace instances of rubbing. No case or papers.
