Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Variant Bolt-Action Rifle – Imperial Mum – Serial #889502 – AS-IS
Up for sale is a Japanese Arisaka Type 38-pattern bolt-action rifle or possible school/training variant. This rifle features classic Arisaka styling and retains a faintly visible ground Imperial chrysanthemum (“mum") crest on the receiver ring, commonly seen on Japanese rifles surrendered after WWII.
Serial number observed is 889502. Rifle features a blued finish with honest handling wear, age-related patina, scratches, and storage marks throughout. Wood stock remains solid with wear consistent with age and military surplus use.
Based on our research, this appears to be an Arisaka Type 38-pattern rifle; however, exact model variation and chambering have not been professionally verified.
