Offered here is a classic Browning Superposed Lightning Grade I 12 gauge over/under shotgun, chambered for 2 3/4” shells and fitted with desirable 26 1/2” barrels. Built in Belgium during the golden era of Browning production, the Superposed Lightning models remain among the most respected field and sporting shotguns ever produced, combining elegant proportions, lively handling, and legendary craftsmanship.
This example features the highly sough-after Lightning configuration with a pistol grip flat knob stock and long tang trigger guard, giving the gun the classic lines collectors and shooters look for in early Belgian Superposed guns. The shotgun balances beautifully at 7 lbs. 4 ozs. and retains its original ventilated rib, white front bead, and mid-bead configuration.
The barrels are choked Improved Cylinder and Modified, making this an exceptionally versatile upland and sporting gun. The walnut stock displays excellent figure with rich factory finish and sharp checkering throughout. Metal finish remains excellent with strong original bluing and crisp engraving detail. Overall condition appears near as-new with only minimal signs of careful handling.
