Offered here is a Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade 12 gauge over/under shotgun in exceptional, as new condition, complete with its original Browning luggage case. Built in Belgium during the golden era of Browning craftsmanship, this Superposed represents the timeless quality, balance, and elegance that made the Superposed one of the most respected sporting shotguns ever produced.
This example features 28” ventilated rib barrels with 2 3/4” chambers and fixed Skeet / Skeet chokes, making it an outstanding upland, skeet, or sporting clays gun with superb handling characteristics. The gun is fitted with a single selective trigger and the desirable round knob long tang stock configuration.
The highly figured walnut on this gun is truly exceptional, displaying deep marble and feather figure throughout both the buttstock and forend. The stock dimensions measure 14 1/4” length of pull, 2 1/2” drop at heel, 1 1/2” drop at comb, and 1/8” cast off.
The coin-finished receiver remains beautifully crisp with sharp original engraving and excellent overall finish retention throughout. The barrels retain excellent original blue with virtually no visible wear. The wood finish remains outstanding, and the checkering is sharp and clean throughout. Overall, this shotgun presents as an extremely well-preserved collector-grade Superposed.
The gun is housed in its original Browning luggage case, further enhancing both desirability and collector value.
