he Colt 1863 percussion revolver is an antique firearm chambered in .44 caliber. It features an 8-inch barrel and was manufactured in 1863. The revolver retains its original configuration with a metal finish that has developed a brown patina over time. The top of the barrel bears the marking “ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW YORK US AMERICA," consistent with production from this period. The cylinder carries the naval battle scene engraving, which remains faint but visible. Serial numbers are matching across major components.
The bore and cylinder chambers show smooth surfaces without noted rust or pitting. Mechanical function is described as working properly for its age, maintaining alignment and rotation through the action. The wooden grips remain structurally sound, showing wear consistent with age and handling while preserving their original form.
