WW1 issued 1903 Springfield, serial number 976274. Manufactured in 1918. Has Rhode Island Armery barrel with flaming bomb and 12/17 stamped on barrel. America was in a hurry to make more 1903s for WW1, their was a shortage, so manufacturers worked with each other. Rifle is above the 800000 manufacturer number so this rifle can safely fire modern ammunition. Most of the original blueing is still present, barrel is in great shape, so is all the wood. Is a nail driver when shooting. A original Springfield 1905 bayonet , manufactured in 1909 is sold with it. Has original scabbard with belt frog . Bayonet is in great shape, so is scabbard .
