Offered here is an exceptional Browning Citori Grade VI Superlight chambered in 28 gauge, a highly desirable small bore over/under that combines elegant styling, superb handling characteristics, and the proven reliability that has made the Citori one of the most respected shotguns ever produced.
This example remains in as new condition and features 26 inch barrels chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells. The gun is fitted with a ventilated rib, single selective trigger, and an attractive English straight grip stock with long tang. The dimensions include a 14 3/8 inch length of pull, 2 1/2 inch drop at heel, 1 1/2 inch drop at comb, and approximately 1/8 inch cast off. Weight is a lively 6 pounds 10 ounces, making it an ideal upland hunting companion while retaining enough steadiness for clay target use.
The barrels are fixed choke and marked Improved Cylinder and Modified, a classic and highly practical combination for upland birds and sporting use. A single front bead completes the traditional sighting arrangement.
The Grade VI engraving is beautifully executed with detailed scrollwork and gold game bird inlays on the receiver, complemented by highly figured walnut exhibiting excellent color, contrast, and figure throughout the stock and forend. The combination of the Superlight configuration, English stock, small bore chambering, and Grade VI embellishment creates one of the most desirable variations within the Citori line.
