Winchester Model 1892 rifle made in 1902 with very scarce double set trigger, otherwise standard, having a 24" octagon barrel, full magazine, plain walnut stocks, open sights, blued and case hardened finish, crescent butt with steel butt plate. Cody Museum email sheet confirms configuration (see last picture) and will be provided to buyer.
CONDITION: All metal surfaces have turned a dark chocolate brown common to firearms that spent life in very humid conditions such as the Southeast U.S. There is some bright blue showing through on the magazine tube and around the sights. Stocks show expected nicks, dings, gouges but no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Correct sights intact. Set trigger works perfectly; action locks up tightly at the half cock safety position and full cock. Bore is an 8 of 10, way above average for a 32 WCF. All in all a solid rifle in a scarce configuration that grades Very Good and will make a fun shooter as well as filling a void in your collection.
