A fine example of a Davide Pedersoli .54 caliber Rocky Mountain / Hawken style percussion rifle. This rifle is in excellent overall condition and enjoys a particularly attractive walnut stock with a comfortable pistol grip and subtle, serviceable checkering. The 28" barrel is clean and straight and fitted with a brass under-barrel ramrod/tube and original-style furniture true to the classic plains-rifle profile. The action functions smoothly and the metal surfaces present with an even, well-maintained finish.
A Redfield scope is mounted on steel bases (included with the sale) — an excellent addition for practical hunting or range work. Sling swivels are present. This rifle has been well cared for and stored properly; there is no evidence of active rust or pitting and wood shows only light, normal handling marks consistent with careful use.
