RARE COLT PRODUCED EJERCITO ARGENTINA 1927 1911 IN 45 ACP. PRODUCED IN 1927 AT COLT‚S HARTFIELD, CONN FACTORY. ONLY 10000 WERE MADE IN THE COLT FACTORY FOR EXPORT TO ARGENTINA.
THE SERIAL NUMBER ON SLIDE, BARREL AND MAGAZINE MATCH. THERE IS NO SERIAL NUMBER ON OUTSIDE OF FRAME. ARGENTINA STAMPED THE FRAMES. THE SERIALNUMBER UNDER THE MAINSPRING HOUSING IS 2 NUMBERS OFF FROM THE SLIDE/BARREL/MAGAZINE NUMBER (2063 VS 2065). THIS PISTOL PROBABLY WAS NEVER SHIPPED TO ARGENTINA. CONDITION IS GOOD TO VERY GOOD NRA STANDARDS. WOOD GRIPS ARE VERY GOOD. BLUING IS GOOD TO VERY GOOD WITH SOME WEAR AROUND MUZZLE. BORE IS BRIGHT WITH STRONG GROOVES.
A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF NOT MUCH SEEN PISTOL.
