Everyone who has hunted with a Marlin Goose Gun has a story about a fantastic shot, at extreme range, to collect a bird and a bet that "paid for my gun." We don't know this gun's story, but you can make your own to fit it. The hardwood stock, detachable magazine, and overall good condition makes this one attractive. And then there are three feet of barrel. Many of these guns were used as "crow guns" in semi-urban areas. They were modified by adding another three to four feet of barrel, hiding the shotgun from crow perspective of what a gun looked like. This allowed the hunter to get closer to the bird. The extension also acted as a muffler to quiet the gun, reducing the potential of disturbing neighbors. 12 Gauge
