"Serial no. 32506. Manufactured circa 1960s by National Ordnance, chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. This commercial carbine was assembled using surplus U.S.G.I. parts during the post-war era. The rifle remains in overall very good condition. The low wood “pot belly" stock, designed for the M2 configuration, shows light handling impressions consistent with storage and use. Commercial carbines such as these became popular during the 1950s and 1960s as surplus military parts were readily available on the civilian market. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
