"Serial no. 66330. Manufactured in 1944 by Waffenwerke Brünn under the “dot" code, chambered in 8mm Mauser,24"" round import-marked barrel. The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching, a condition commonly encountered on Mitchell Mausers restored and remarketed examples. The rifle has been refinished and remains in overall very good condition. This rifle began as a Russian-capture K98k, identifiable by its Soviet capture history, before later refurbishment and commercial restoration by Mitchell Mausers. The “dot" manufacturer code identifies wartime production at Brünn during the final years of WWII. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
