The Mauser model 4000 is a vintage push-feed bolt-action hunting rifle manufactured between 1969 and 1975. Produced in collaboration with the German gunmaker Heym, it was designed as a lightweight, small-caliber sporting rifle ideal for varmint hunting and target shooting. Bolt action (push-feed). Primarily chambered in .222 Remington and .223 Remington. Produced by Heym for Mauser-Werke. It shares a similar design footprint with the Mauser Model 3000 but was scaled down specifically for shorter cartridges like 223.
