Description:
Excellent condition Browning BLR LW 81 Short Action chambered in the very desirable .300 WSM ( Winchester Short Magnum). 22" barrel with band Straight walnut stock with checkered straight grip and forend. Recoil pad and sling points. High gloss blued metal finish. Light weight aluminum alloy receiver make this a very nice, handy rifle. A 4 round detachable box magazine in a lever gun doesn't hurt either.
Adjustable rear sight with the top of the receiver factory drilled and tapped for a scope. Rack and pinion geared slide with rotating breech head, exposed-folding hammer travels with the lever action.
Some light handling marks shown on the under side of the butt stock and on the forend. Please see photos.
This is a great hunting/shooting rifle in a desired action with an even great cartridge. The cartridge bullet diameter is .308 in (7.62 mm), which is common to U.S. .30 caliber cartridges. The principle at work in the short magnum cartridge is getting nearly the same ballistic performance as long-action magnums with less powder, and less recoil.
