Here is a very fine AyA (Aguirre y Aranzabal) No. 2 12 gauge sidelock ejector. The 28” chopper-lump barrels have 2 ¾” chambers and excellent bores, choked .006/.022 (about skeet/modified.) The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The Holland & Holland-style hand-detachable lock-plates feature bold floral engraving with strong case colors. The firing pins are bushed and removeable. The front trigger is articulated, and there is a rolled-edge trigger-guard. There are side-mounted gold-inlaid cocking indicators. There is an Anson fore-end release. The lightly figured stock measures 1 ¾” x 2 5/8” x 14 7/8” over a checkered butt. The cast is neutral. The weight is 6 lbs 10 oz. A fantastic upland double, ready for the field.
