"Serial no. 4059852. Manufactured circa 1943 by Remington Arms, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “R.A./Flaming Bomb/9-43." The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Finish and stock remain in overall very good condition, showing only minimal handling impressions. The left side of the stock is correctly marked “F.J.A." for inspector Frank J. Atwood. The Model 03-A3 was a wartime simplified version of the M1903 Springfield, designed for faster wartime production while retaining the accuracy and strength of the original design. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
