Merkel 47E 20 gauge. Made in 1990, serial 434197 has 27-inch barrels (fixed IC/M, solid matted rib, 3-inch, ejectors). Features include a scalloped boxlock action, automatic safety, cocking indicators, rust blue finish (barrels) and color case (action), wrap checkering and a straight butt (logo plate). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 5.8 pounds, length-of-pull is 14.65 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.65 inches, and cast off is approximately .30-inch. CONDITION: Bores are strong and bright, barrels on face and the opening lever rests center. Ejectors are strong and triggers crisp. Barrel and guard finishes are at least 90 percent, colors are approximately 35 percent and wood is approximately 80 percent (majority of adjustment due to thinning finish over the butt). No box or papers. The price is firm. $1,850 plus shipping.
