Mechanically, this side-by-side cape gun utilizes a traditional break-action boxlock system with double triggers. The hunter can instantly select between the shotgun and rifle barrel using the trigger arrangement, allowing quick transitions between birdshot and a powerful rifle cartridge when game presents itself unexpectedly. The action features strong underlug locking with a rib extension for added strength and durability, while the extractor system lifts both cartridges for reliable reloading in the field.
The firearm is chambered for the classic 16 gauge shotgun and the traditional German 8x57JR rimmed rifle cartridge.
