Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in the desirable 44 WCF caliber with a good bore that has shine and visible rifling but also has a slight ring about 6 inches from the muzzle. Barrel and full length magazine tube are a plum/brown patina with traces of blue in the protected areas. Sights include a blade front and flattop sporting rear. Receiver has some very fine scattered pin prick pitting and has a mottled gray appearance. Loading gate is a blue/gray. Hammer and lever are a brown/gray. Smooth action. Walnut forearm has a repaired crack with some filler on the left side. Buttstock is a little ill fitting with a repair at the wrist with a rifle style buttplate. Manufactured in 1911. Should be a shooter at the range or for "Cowboy Action" shooting.
