Offered here is an exceptional Browning Superposed Superlight 20 Gauge, one of the most desirable lightweight Belgian Browning over/unders ever produced. Combining the handling qualities of a true upland gun with the craftsmanship that made the Superposed famous, this example remains in remarkable collector grade condition and appears to have seen little, if any, use since leaving the factory.
Built on the coveted Superlight frame, this shotgun features 26½ inch barrels chambered for 2¾ inch shells. The barrels are fitted with a ventilated rib, single brass front bead, and retain their original fixed choke configuration of Improved Cylinder and Modified. This combination provides outstanding versatility for upland birds, sporting clays, and general field use.
The gun is equipped with a single selective trigger and highly sought after English straight grip stock with long tang. Dimensions include a 14¼ inch length of pull, 2 1/8 inch drop at heel, 1 3/8 inch drop at comb, and 1/8 inch cast-off. The result is a lively, responsive shotgun that exemplifies why the Superlight models have become favorites among knowledgeable shooters and collectors.
The walnut displays excellent figure and remains in exceptional condition with sharp checkering and beautiful original finish throughout. Metal finishes are equally impressive, showing virtually no evidence of use. Most importantly, the shotgun is accompanied by its original Browning leather luggage case, complete with accessories and paperwork. The case itself remains in exceptional condition and significantly enhances both collector appeal and value.
