Description:
This is a beautiful example of a very rare, original Colt Firearms Division manufactured, fully automatic M16A1 carbine. These original Colt fully automatic M16 series of rifles and carbines are very rare to find on the open market today. These were actually produced on the same manufacturing line as their military counter part using the same military grade, factory original parts. To keep them separate and distinct from the Military weapons they were given their own special commercial serial number designation in the 9 Million serial number range. I am the second owner, originally purchased in June, 1978. 14.5 in barrel, considered a carbine. Upper is an original CH (Colt / Harvey Aluminum). Also included is a complete upper (no bolt carrier group) with an 11.5 inche barrel, M7 General Cutlery bayonet, extra 14.5 inch barrel, and orginal unopened US military operations manual from 1968. NOTE: This weapon is Class 3 which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
