With the strength of steel and the lightweight advantage of aluminum, the 12-gauge 828U redefined upland hunting and is now available in a versatile 20-gauge option.
Key features include a patented steel locking system and plate that prevent shot pressure stress on the receiver and hinge pins, ensuring long-term durability.
The compact, easily removable trigger group enhances safety, reliability, and simplifies cleaning. A unique opening lever delivers smoother, more consistent action, while every detail from butt to muzzle is designed to break away from conventional over/under shotguns. The Benelli 828U sets a new standard in upland hunting performance.
OPENING LEVER AUTO RECOCKING
The 828 U triggers reset when the top lever is unlocked instead of by opening the barrels on a traditional over/under—creating a smoother, more consistent opening action. In addition, the ejector system in the 828 U is all contained in the barrel. This design allows for a stronger, more streamlined receiver by eliminating the need for linkages between the trigger group and the forend.
PATENTED STEEL LOCKING SYSTEM
Benelli's patented steel locking system eliminates wear and tear on the receiver and hinge that cause traditional O/U's to fail. The heart of Benelli's Steel Locking System is a solid steel breech block that locks directly to the monoblock, containing all pressure from the shotshell and preventing its transfer to the receiver and hinge pins.
BENELLI’S PROGRESSIVE COMFORT SYSTEM
The Progressive Comfort System is contained within the 828 U walnut stock (shown in the cutaway images here). The flexible and lightweight polymer buffers compress to absorb recoil energy. The heavier the shot load, the more buffers come into play to help absorb and cushion the recoil.

Firearms (including lower receivers and frames) are not eligible for return after transfer into the customer's possession. If a defect is discovered in any of these items after the transfer, the customer should contact the manufacturer directly to submit a warranty claim.
Huron Valley Guns carefully monitors returns and may take reasonable action, (case by case) including limiting or refusing returns, to prevent fraud and abuse and to otherwise enforce these terms and conditions and all laws and regulations governing purchases made in our stores.

Huron Valley Guns WILL NOT transfer to a customer's residence. Some firearms may or may not be transferred or sold to the customer due to restrictions of that person's State of Residence.
