Description:
The Springfield Armory M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This rifle features a 24-inch barrel and an 8+1 capacity with the standard en bloc clip system. It has an adjustable rear military peep sight and an ambidextrous safety. The stock is constructed of smooth wood with a pistol grip contour and matching handguard, fitted with the original checkered metal butt plate that includes a trap door compartment. The rifle shows wartime manufacture with a receiver date of October 1943.

Markings include a “P” proof stamp on the grip and a “SA” cartouche on the left side of the stock. The bolt, trigger assembly, hammer, and barrel dated February 1944 are Springfield Armory components, while the operating rod is marked “RA National Match.” The bore condition is described as good, with visible shine and strong rifling. This M1 Garand is used and retains a military-style finish consistent with its period of production. The action is described as strong, and the rifle exhibits no pitting beneath the wood line.

The butt plate compartment contains a cleaning kit. Serial number 2199471 corresponds to the October 1943 production period, qualifying this rifle for Curio & Relic (C&R) status. All major components noted are Springfield Armory parts, and the rifle maintains its original configuration with standard adjustable sights and fixed stock.
