VERY FINE CONDITION MODEL 1903 .38 ACP POCKET HAMMER AUTO, #31XXX, MADE 1912. A particularly nice example that shows excellent factory high polish blue overall with only some thinning on the back strap and a little on the front strap and only minor edge wear. Retains fine fire blue on the trigger and good case color on the hammer. Has a few tiny nicks around the magazine well on the extreme bottom- minor. Exc. markings and mechanics with bright exc. bore. Correct magazine is unmarked on the bottom which is the way they left the factory on this model made from 1905-1916, after which they had various Colt markings. Exc. hard rubber grips. One of the better ones I’ve seen in a while. These don’t show up often in any condition. A really great early “primitive” Colt auto made the year the Titanic sank!
