Description:
This Sako M78 is a precision bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 LR, known for its exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship. It features a beautifully oil finished hardwood stock with fine checkering on the grip and forearm. Some curl or 'fiddleback' faintly in the stock. The rifle includes a rare option, iron sights and a grooved receiver for mounting optics. Ideal for target shooting or small game hunting, this rifle is in used but well-maintained condition (98% NRA). Sako rifles are highly regarded for their quality and performance, making this a great addition to any discerning rimfire collector. One original magazine included. Don't miss this opportunity. There weren't an abundant quantity made back in the day. According to Gun Digest only 1500 Sako M78's were made during the Finnfire Era.
The metal on this rifle is 99% the wood is 99% with no real handling marks anywhere. The hand rubbed oil finish is as new. One original 5 round magazine is included the only thing missing is the orignal box. This rifle is one out of my personal collection. Imported by Stoeger.
