This Winchester was produced in 1957. The rifle's serial number is 401457. This 338 Winchester Magnum is one of only 9525 of these rifles chambered for this cartridge. This is a fairly rare cartridge to find in the pre 64 series Model 70! This Winchester is in new unfired condition. This barrel is the 25 inch barrel chambered to shoot the 338 Winchester Magnum. The bore is in minty condition. The sights are original to this Winchester. The front sight still has the sight hood intact. The original bluing would rate a 100% condition. The bolt is serial numbered to the receiver. The bolt face shows no sign of being fired. The bolt itself shows little wear from being worked. The stock is in new condition. The checkering is in new condition with sharp points. The recoil pad is marked Winchester and is very supple. This Model 70 is in stunning condition! This Rifle is ready to join a fine collection of these great rifles!
