Offered for sale is an exceptional Browning Citori Superlight Grade VI chambered in the highly desirable .410 bore with 3 inch chambers and 26 inch barrels. This elegant over/under remains in as new condition and represents one of the most sought-after configurations produced by Browning, combining the lightweight Superlight frame, English straight grip stock, and beautifully executed Grade VI engraving.
The receiver is adorned with intricate hand cut style scroll engraving accented by gold game bird scenes on both sides, while the top lever, trigger guard, and bottom metal continue the fine engraving theme throughout. The walnut is truly outstanding, displaying exceptional figure, contrast, and mineral streaking that elevate this gun well above the average Grade VI. The wood to metal fit is excellent and the finish remains crisp and vibrant.
Built with a single selective trigger and long tang English straight grip stock, the gun measures 14 3/8 inches length of pull with a 2 1/4 inch drop at heel and 1 3/8 inch drop at comb. The 26 inch barrels are fitted with a ventilated rib, single brass front bead, and fixed chokes marked Improved Cylinder and Modified, making this a delightful field gun while retaining tremendous collector appeal.
The Superlight .410 models have become increasingly difficult to locate in this level of condition, particularly with wood of this quality.
