Underwood M1 Carbine semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30 Carbine with an 18-inch barrel. The receiver is marked with a manufacture date of January 1943. It features a military-style finish and a smooth wood pistol-grip stock fitted with a checkered metal buttplate. The rifle is configured with standard military sights, including an adjustable rear peep sight. The serial number is 4022610. This M1 Carbine is used.
The action is semi-automatic, consistent with the U.S. military configuration of the period. The bore condition is described as excellent, indicating well-defined rifling.
