The Taurus Model 617 Titanium is a discontinued, high-capacity snub-nosed revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. Crafted out of "Total Titanium," it drastically reduces the carrying weight compared to standard stainless steel models. This makes it an incredibly powerful yet lightweight personal defense firearm. 7-Shot capacity unlike most compact revolvers that carry 5 or 6 rounds, it features a unique 7-round cylinder. Factory Ported Barrel redirects expanding gases upward to drastically reduce felt muzzle flip and heavy recoil. The 617 Titanium is highly praised for concealability and reliable "wheel-gun" mechanics. However, the lighter titanium mass means full-power magnum loads produce snappy felt recoil. .357 Magnum
