"Serial no. 3810. Manufactured during the WWI era and later Factory Repaired in 1944, chambered in .303 British,25"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching, though the magazine is unmarked. The rifle has been refinished at some point, and the stock has had a coat of varnish applied. Rifles such as this commonly saw long service lives, with many WWI-era SMLE rifles refurbished and returned to service during WWII as Britain rapidly expanded its armed forces. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
