Description:
The A. Richard 12-gauge hammer double shotgun is an antique side-by-side configuration with 30-inch solid rib laminated steel barrels. Each barrel is cylinder bore choked and fitted with a front bead sight. The shotgun has a brown patina finish consistent with age and features external hammers and double triggers. The overall length is approximately 46½ inches, and the length of pull measures 14 inches. Serial number 11346 is present on the firearm.
Stock furniture consists of checkered wood with a Prince of Wales pistol grip and matching checkered forearm. A factory brown checkered buttplate completes the stock assembly. The bores are described as very good, showing bright surfaces. The action locks up tightly, and the mechanical fit remains solid for a firearm of this age. This shotgun is used and retains the character typical of an antique sporting arm with laminated steel barrels and period construction details.
Included with the shotgun is its original wooden stock and forearm assembly as described. No additional accessories or packaging are specified. The firearm’s configuration and markings are consistent with late 19th-century English manufacture under the A. Richard name, featuring the traditional double-hammer design and solid rib barrel construction.
