Offered for sale is a Browning Superposed Grade I 20 Gauge Over/Under shotgun in exceptional, as new condition. Built on Browning’s renowned Superposed platform and featuring desirable small bore handling characteristics, this shotgun remains one of the finest examples of John M. Browning’s legendary design.
This example is chambered for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells and is fitted with 26 1/2" ventilated rib barrels. The barrels retain their original fixed Skeet/Skeet choke configuration and are fitted with a single brass front bead. The gun features a single selective trigger and a round knob long tang semi-pistol grip stock, providing the classic Superposed appearance sought by collectors and shooters alike.
The highly figured walnut stock and forend display excellent color and grain, complemented by sharp checkering and outstanding original finish. Metal finishes remain excellent throughout, exhibiting the appearance of a shotgun that has seen very little use. The receiver engraving remains crisp, and the overall condition places this gun firmly in the collector grade category.
Included with the shotgun is its original Browning luggage case, which remains in excellent condition and adds significant desirability and value to the package.
