Description:
An Ithaca shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge with a 32-inch barrel is almost universally a vintage, specialized target or waterfowl gun manufactured during the golden age of American firearms (primarily the early to mid-20th century). Because 32-inch barrels are exceptionally long, they were highly favored for maximizing sight radius and swing momentum in competitive clay shooting and long-range duck hunting. These were the first American shotguns designed from the ground up exclusively for competitive trap shooting. They feature heavily built, ornately engraved steel receivers coupled with high-grade walnut, a pistol grip, and a wide "beavertail" forearm to protect the shooter's hand from barrel heat. 12 Gauge
